UNDERWATER ART by Ed Moore

Ed Moore and his wife, Michele, own and operate the Wildlife Workshop in Fort Bragg on the beautiful Mendocino Coast of northern California.

Ed is a life-long fisherman and has caught all varieties of fish. These experiences are, in part, what enable him to create his award-winning underwater art, taking fish taxidermy to a whole new level.

Ed's work has become internationally-acclaimed over the years. His understanding of fish anatomy, his ability to capture the full color spectrum found in each species of fish, along with an artist's eye, allows him to produce "pieces of nature". What distingusihes his work from that of others you may have seen in his ability to blend natural and artificial materials to produce realistic habitats that surround his fish reproductions.

Ed is known for his ability to capture fish in action poses - a huge Rainbow Trout attacking your hand-tied fly; a pair of spawning Steelhead over their nest; or a Larrgemouth Bass exploding through the lily pads after a Bullfrog.  Or how about a trip beneath the Ocean to  see a unique scene with red Ablone, Sea Urchins, Rockfish, Scallops and more?

Let Ed create a memory for your home or office.  A piece of artwork that tells a story time and time again and for years to come.

All work is priced on an individual basis depending on the size of the fish, the extent of habitat and showcase desired and the creative design involved.  Not only does Ed do the traditional wall or tabletop fish mounts, he also creates dioramas enclosed in glass cases or oak and glass coffee tables and end tables.
